Faith-based coaching is a form of life coaching or personal development coaching that integrates religious or spiritual beliefs and principles into the coaching process. It typically involves working with a coach who shares or respects the client's faith and values, and the coaching sessions may incorporate scriptures, prayers, or spiritual guidance as part of the coaching framework. The goal of faith-based coaching is to help individuals align their faith with their personal and professional goals, make decisions in accordance with their beliefs, and find purpose and fulfillment in their lives through a spiritual lens. Additional to the incorporating spiritual beliefs, faith based coaching will also use psychological, behavioral, and theories of human potential, as well as practical methods, to support clients in a wide range of personal and professional growth areas.
Non-faith-based coaching is a form of life coaching or personal development coaching that does not incorporate religious or spiritual elements into the coaching process. It focuses on helping individuals set and achieve goals, overcome challenges, and make positive changes in their lives. Non-faith-based coaching typically relies on psychological, behavioral, and human potential theories and practices to assist clients in various aspects of their personal and professional development. It is open to individuals of diverse backgrounds and belief systems.
