To the Weary Parent: You Are Seen, You Are Loved, You Are Not Alone by Melissa Long

Dear Struggling Parent,

I see you. I hear you. I feel you. My heart aches for your journey.

To the parent who bears the weight of doing it all on your own, whether you’re truly a single parent or simply find that your partner’s long hours leave you feeling isolated, the exhaustion you feel is profound. Many will never fully understand the depth of your fatigue, even if you try to explain it. I am praying for you.

To the parent who struggles to keep every aspect of life in order, juggling schedules, preparing lunches and dinners, managing grocery shopping, and facing constant criticism, it often feels like you can never catch your breath. I know exactly how overwhelming this can be, and I’m right there with you.

To the wonderful parent of a child or children with special needs, your heart is full of love despite the unique challenges you face. While your children are a true blessing, some days the exhaustion is unlike anything others can comprehend. I see you, and I honor your strength.

To the parent who has made mistakes and faced difficult consequences, you have weathered dark and challenging times, and though your past actions have affected those you love, you have risen above it all. Every day, you are healing and growing stronger. I am cheering you on.

And to the parent whose child might say you “ruin everything,” please hold on. These challenging seasons will pass, and one day your child will understand the care and commitment you provided. Remember, no one is perfect, I make mistakes too.

To the Weary Parent: You Are Seen, You Are Loved, You Are Not Alone by Melissa Long

To the parent who feels like you never measure up—to your spouse, your children, your friends, or even at work, it sometimes seems as if having a couple of clones would make life easier. I truly understand how you feel.

Here’s the good news: you are not alone, and you don’t have to have everything perfectly together every moment. You are a good parent, supported by both divine strength and the care of those who understand your struggles. I am praying for you, even if we’ve never met, because I truly get you, I feel you, and I want you to succeed.

And if you have yet to face these struggles, know that I celebrate you for your smooth journey. But when your time comes, remember that I will be here rooting for you, praying for you, and offering all the support you need.

With heartfelt solidarity,
A Fellow Parent Who Cares
